DL Diamonds in the Rough

Here are a couple of players that have come off disabled list or will soon be coming off the disabled list that are worth looking into.
Pitchers:

Rich Hill: A starting pitcher who has yet to live up to the hype of Ace, Hill has recently come off the DL for Baltimore. In his first outing back Hill allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks through 5.2 innings against the Royals on Saturday. Hill threw a good amount of strikes and showed glimpses of his signature curveball while facing the minimum amount of batters in 3 of his 5.2 innings. Although he has only had one start from being back, Hill has shown many good signs that hint he could be back to his former self quite soon.

Chris Carpenter: There are still many questions concerning Chris Carpenter this year, one of them being to what capacity will the former ace be able to perform at when he comes back to pitch on May 20th. Prior to going on the DL in April, Carpenter had one win in two starts with an ERA of 0.00 along with 9 K's. Although there is no guarantee he will ever regain his form that won him a Cy Young a four years ago, the risk-reward ratio for picking up a guy like this is too high to pass up in a competitive league.
